Some unique trinkets can only be found by killing specific enemies. These can still be bought from the Nomad Wagon. Some trinkets can be found as a quest reward for only a specific region. Boss-slaying expeditions always have a Very Rare trinket as a reward regardless of difficulty. A trinket is given as a reward for completing each expedition, starting at Common for short Apprentice dungeons and increasing one level of rarity for each additional difficulty or length (up to Ancestral for long Champion dungeons). Trinkets have different rarities, which are denoted in game by color and description. The trinkets confer stat bonuses and penalties when worn, and it is up to the player to use them to their full effect. Fleeing a battle will not give such an opportunity. If a hero dies, their trinkets can be scavenged if the player perseveres and wins the battle. Each hero is able to carry up to two different trinkets at a time. Certain trinkets are earned by defeating specific enemies.
Oh! If your mod is to be used in other languages be sure to add the trinket to those lanagues as well or they'll end up seeing blue text instead of your trinket name.Trinkets are equippable items that are commonly obtained while adventuring in the dungeons, earned as rewards from quests, or bought at the Nomad Wagon. loc files the game uses to generate the text in game. Once added run the localization.bat script you'll find in the localization directory. eddysamulet.png you'd do so like below, the developers at Red Hook are pretty damned awesome for making this as easy as it is: called 'Eddy's Amulet' AND you named the png file something like. If you wanted to add a new trinket that's say. Once open take a look for other trinkets - you'll find them named something like the below: You can edit this with your favorite editor as with the others. In addition to adding the trinket to the trinkets.json file, and the png to panels/icons_equip/trinkets, you need to add the name of the trinket to the localization/miscellaneous.string_table.xml file. It sounds like it's just a localization issue that you forgot to finalize.
